I am a web programmer. I like bringing sites and apps to the world wide web!
I work as a Software Engineer at an Atlanta-area-based financial company. I previously attempted to start my own coding bootcamp in San Diego, after having taught the Code Immersion program (and helped design the curriculum) at Tech Talent South. Before that I was also a TA for the class for three sessions. And way before that I took the course myself!
The core tenet of my instruction is teaching web programming with a focus on the Ruby on Rails platform, but also gaining a foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The classic game, re-imagined! Am I overselling much? Yes. Yes I am.

Quizzing you on your geography knowledge. Just name the 50 states right now. Maybe more quizzes Inspired by sporcle.com

The classic arcade game - now in your computer's browser! Wow! Will wonders never cease? You're sure to while away hours playing this one. What's that? There's only one level? Then... you're sure to while away the three minutes playing this one!

Examples of using JavaScript to interact with APIs. It's a work-in-progress. There is currently an activity suggestor, but I hope to get some time to also set up a population comparer.

Just a little catalog of random kitties. So cute! This is a very simple React site, and, to be fair, is just a take on a project I saw in a React tutorial. But that one didn't have such cute contents!

Due to Heroku moving to a paid model, this site is no longer available. I hope to find a home for it elsewhere when I have time to research a new hosting platform.
This is a simple weather app, connected to the Open Weather API. Users can log in and have their previous location searches saved - otherwise, the locations are cleared after short period of time.

A real-time chat app. Users are requied to sign in, and once they do, they can create their own chatroom or join an existing one. Messages are loaded asynchronously. Basically, I made Slack/Messenger/AIM/ICQ... but without any features like GIFs or fun sounds.

Technifornia is my coding bootcamp, tutoring, and consulting company. I hope to one day hold in-person classes (when it feels comfortable again to hold those), teaching teenage to adult students in the ways of web programming. I had already built a curriculum covering Ruby on Rails (and related subjects), pre-COVID. As a graduate of a coding bootcamp myself, I believe they are essential to those looking to change careers and don't have the time or funds to persue a university degree.
Basically, this is just the parent company for Technifornia. Incorporated while on a tropical vacation - that's right, my partner and I spent part of a trip filling out IRS forms and buying domains! Anyway, the website is pretty basic, but I made it, so I'm linking to it!
